I Didn’t Just Lose a Pregnancy: Kristina

Kristina’s Story

On November 21, 2019, I went in for a regular appointment at 13 weeks pregnant. I had no indication that anything was wrong but I felt so anxious. My doctor listened for the heartbeat but the longer it took, the more nervous I became. He then brought in an ultrasound machine. When he turned the machine away from me, I knew we weren’t going to have a good outcome. I was then sent downstairs to see the specialist and get a high quality ultrasound. We were then told that “there is no longer a heartbeat” and that he had just passed away very recently. My doctor sent me to labor and delivery to induce me later that afternoon. After 5.5 hours of labor we gave birth to the most tiny but perfect little boy who we named Josiah David.

What Receiving a Project Robby Keepsake Set meant to her:

Receiving a Project Robby set meant the world to me. The blanket we got from the hospital was huge for Josiah’s tiny body. I received my set just before Christmas so we waited and opened it on Christmas morning. Having something to hold that is just his size was so special and helped me through our first Christmas without him.
